Non Marx HO
When Louis Marx went out of business the dies were bought by Model Power. Model Power cars can be identified by the scratched out circle where the MARX logo was on the bottom of the car. The other circle on the bottom now says "Made In China" instead of "Made in USA" or "Made In Hong Kong". The Marx logo on the tank cars is on the top of the frame, so it can only be seen when the tank is removed from the frame.

UPDATE: In a notice posted on their web site dated 04/23/14, Model Power announced that it was closing its doors. The model railroad industry is losing another long time manufacturer. Model Power has been in business for nearly 50 years. During that time they acquired Mantua when Tyco closed and was producing some nice Marx mold cars. Gone, now again. No word if anyone will be taking over the Model Power/Mantua/Marx equipment. Full story can be found on Model Powers web site.
